Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain language, which personal data Checko Energy collects on this website, why, how long we keep it and how you can exercise your rights. It follows Brazil’s General Personal Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018).

1. Who the controller is

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to the checko.energy website and to the demo request form. The Checko Energy platform, once contracted, will have its own contracts and data processing rules.

3. What data we collect

When you request a demo, we collect the data you enter in the form:

• name;
• company;
• role;
• e-mail;
• phone (optional);
• number of plants and/or chargers;
• message;
• the date and time you gave your consent.

To prevent abuse and spam, we record along with the request:

• a salted hash of your IP address: a code generated from the IP that cannot be turned back into the original address. We do not store the IP itself;
• your browser’s user agent: the text your browser sends to identify itself (for example, the name and version of the browser and operating system).

We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile, a check against bots that looks at technical browser data only to tell people apart from automated programs.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or racial origin). Please do not include it in your message. The website is aimed at companies and professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18.

4. What we use the data for

• To answer your demo request, schedule it and present Checko Energy.
• To contact you commercially about Checko Energy in connection with your request.
• To protect the form and the website against spam, fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Legal bases

• Consent (article 7, I, of the LGPD): for the form data and for contacting you about your request. You give consent by ticking the box on the form and can withdraw it at any time. We keep the date and time of your consent to prove it was given (article 8, § 2).
• Legitimate interest (article 7, IX): for the IP hash, the user agent and the bot check, used only for security and abuse prevention.

If you do not give consent, we cannot receive your request through the form. You can still reach us by e-mail at contato@checko.energy.

6. How long we keep the data

We keep the data for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. After that, the data is deleted or anonymized. We may keep the minimum necessary for longer only when the law requires it or to exercise rights in legal proceedings (article 16 of the LGPD).

7. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers (processors) that help us run the website, under contract and only for these purposes:

• Cloudflare: website hosting and the database where demo requests are stored;
• our e-mail provider ([to be defined]): sending and receiving the messages about your request.

We may also share data when the law or a competent authority requires it.

8. International transfer

Our service providers may process data on servers outside Brazil, for example in the United States. In these cases, the transfer follows article 33 of the LGPD, with the safeguards these providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Cookies

The website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. If a strictly necessary cookie is used by the hosting or by the bot check, it serves only the security and operation of the website, never to track you.

10. Security

We use an encrypted connection (HTTPS), restrict access to the data and store the IP only as a hash. No system is completely secure, but we take appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect your data.

11. Your rights

Under article 18 of the LGPD, you can ask at any time for:

• confirmation that we process your data;
• access to your data;
• correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data;
• anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary, excessive or processed in breach of the LGPD;
• portability of your data to another provider;
• deletion of the data processed on the basis of your consent;
• information about who we share your data with;
• information about the option of not giving consent and what happens if you do not;
• withdrawal of your consent.

You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest if you believe it does not comply with the LGPD. We do not make automated decisions about you with the data from this website.

How to exercise them: send an e-mail to contato@checko.energy with the subject “Privacy” and tell us what you would like. We may ask you to confirm your identity to protect your data. It is free of charge, and we reply within 15 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

We may update this policy. The date of the last update and the effective date are shown at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will announce it on this website.
